Bridal Fashion Trends 2014

Shorter Hemlines

This year shorter hemlines are in the forefront of bridal gown fashion. We’ve seen tea length in the past but now mini bridal dresses are making a splash. We saw examples of these on the runway from Caroline Hererra to Marchesa. This Jenny Packham gown nails the proportions.

Cover-Ups and Jackets

Drama. That’s what this next trend brings to the table (and your top half).  We love the added elements that cover-ups and jackets can bring to your look, modern to traditional alike. Temperley London shows us how it’s done with this metallic embroidered number.

Pink is the New White

Pink is the new white. Hues of pink have been making the occasional appearance in bridal fashion but this season there is no doubting their increasing popularity. Celebs like Kaley Cuoco are rocking the look too—she wore a pink, princess Vera Wang wedding dress. We love how the lighter blush tones complements a wide array of skin tones like this Watters gown.

Lace Sleeves

We owe Kate Middleton a thank you for this bridal trend. Whether lace sleeves cap the shoulders, hit below the elbow or at the wrist, they are timeless and the perfect way to add some interest to your gown. Temperley London modernized the 70’s with this look.

Jeweled Necklines

Jeweled necklines are making our jaws drop this season.  Brides who would normally go for a more simple dress are looking for a little bling around the neckline or even an added jeweled belt for their waist—check out our belts here. Jim Hjelm pairs some subtle bling with another one of our favorites, the one-shoulder dress.

We have no doubt you’re going to rock your wedding dress, whether or not they fall into these bridal trends.
